The work center Dakshina Rekha is to promote activities related to printing, publishing and allied segments. To encourage new creation in language, literature, philosophy and education including technical and professional. To organize printing and publishing of books, journals, periodicals, bulletins etc.., in Malayalam and other languages.
Release of Melur's book Dhyanamanikal
Melur is a versatile poet whose poems deserve attention. His poems are few and its intensity created a space for him in the literary field weaving a lasting impression in Malayalam Poetry. This shows a strong poetic heritage embedded in him. His towering presence in the socio-cultural fabric of Chennai was unsurmountable and his eternal departure has left a deep void.
Dakshinaa Rekha published a book 'Dhyanamanikal', selected poems of Sri.Melur Damodaran, released by Sri. K.P. Sankaran, writer & critic at Madras Kerala Samajam hall , Chennai on 30th March 2008.
