Founded in the year 2005 by an enterprising team of professionals deeply rooted to Indian culture and traditions, DAKSHINAA is today the nerve center of cultural initiatives that keep the flames of Indian heritage, glittering.
It is an umbrella organization beyond the barriers of caste, creed, religion or language, guiding and supporting the needy in social, cultural and educational fields cherishing their noble ideas and nourishing their ideals and aspirations.
Dakshinaa has divided its operations into seven centers – Saptha Sahaaya Hasta. ‘Saptha’ is an inspiration derived from a significant number in Indian culture. It means Seven. Saptha Puri denotes to Seven Holy Pilgrimage Centres in India. Saptha Rishis refer to the Seven Sages who composed the Vedic hymns. Saptha Padi is the Seven Steps which signifies the Seven Vows of marriage. Then there is the Sapthaswaras, the Seven Notes in Indian music.
